On February 3, 2026, COMFWB Zimbabwe successfully launched a high-level collaboration with the Ministry of Women Affairs and key Border Agencies to implement the COMFWB-AGRA Trade Facilitation and NTB Reduction Programme. The initiative aims to modernize operations at the Chirundu and Victoria Falls borders by dismantling non-tariff barriers and streamlining logistics. This strategic partnership is specifically designed to empower women traders, youth, and SMEs, providing them with the institutional support needed to access regional markets and achieve sustainable financial independence.

COMFWB Malawi Chapter extends its heartfelt congratulations to our National Chairperson, Madam Selina Mwenelupembe, on her appointment as a Commissioner of the Competition and Fair Trading Commission (CFTC). She officially took the oath of office on 29th January 2026.

COMFWB Malawi Chairperson, Madam Selina Mwenelupembe, met with Her Excellency Dr. Joyce Hilda Banda to advance a bold vision for women’s economic empowerment, officially declaring 2026 as the Year of Women in Business. In recognition of her remarkable legacy and contributions, COMFWB Malawi presented Dr. Banda with an Award for Outstanding Achievements—symbolizing a shared commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed.

Successful conclusion of an intensive 14-day training program for the Ethiopian Women Trader Association hosted by the prestigious GFEEP division of Beijing University. Participants tackled a meticulously crafted curriculum designed to foster sustainable business growth. Upon completion, each member was awarded a certificate, marking their evolution into more formidable leaders in the global marketplace.

The COMFWB Team has officially touched down in Ethiopia to kickstart the implementation of the COYWA Project (Supporting Youth and Women in Agribusiness). This mission marked a pivotal step in our commitment to fostering sustainable economic growth through targeted entrepreneurial support. We took to the field to meet with local youth entrepreneur groups and visited specialized leather workshops. These firsthand insights into the daily operations of Ethiopian artisans and agri-preneurs allowed us to tailor our support to the actual needs of the community.
