The Regional Enterprise Competitiveness and Access to Markets programme (RECAMP) is about boosting participation of the private sector in regional and global value chains. The programme does this through the improvement of the investment and business climate and enhanced competitiveness in the COMESA region.
The National Chamber of Businesswomen (CNFCE), COMFWB Tunisia Chapter held the RECAMP training session and the conference was attended by 30 women entrepreneurs. During the event, attendees shared their ideas, thoughts, consideration and pitched about their businesses.
During the training sessions, the attendees had the opportunity to learn in-depth about the market and business opportunities in Africa. They discussed in depth about the policies of COMESA and the charter of COMFWB and how it will help them to establish connections with Sokokuu. Members agreed to produce competitive and unique agricultural food and arts products to present unique products for export trade to Africa. It’s time to look South to other African sisters for markets. At the end of the training, they shared their aspirations, recommendations, and some solutions on how to access the African Market using the opportunities of AfCFTA for banking and logistics.
I noticed a lot of ethusiasium from the participants. During the 3 days, they kept on asking very smart questions and showing a lot of interests in developing their knowledge and mastering how to successfully access markets in the COMESA region. - M. Ridha Mahjoub, Facilitator

International Women's Day is a global holiday celebrated annually on March 8 to commemorate the cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of women. This year's theme was titled #BreakTheBias. Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality. Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias.
